Cambridge moved quickly.
Lectures became seminars.
Seminars became assignments.
Assignments became articles.
Days slowly became weeks.
For Alankrita, university life settled into a beautiful rhythm.
Morning lectures.
Afternoon library sessions.
Evening writing assignments.
Night calls to India.
Somewhere in between all of it...
there was Baby Pumpkin.
The strange thing was how peaceful the baby became during classes.
During lectures on investigative journalism...
silence.
During discussions on ethics in reporting...
silence.
During workshops on magazine writing and feature stories...
silence.
Sometimes Alankrita would place a hand gently against her stomach during long lectures and smile.
"You like journalism too?" she would whisper internally.
The baby never answered during class.
The baby was a perfect student.
