That evening the elephant sat proudly on her desk beside journalism books and lecture notes.
Sara named him immediately.
"Professor Elephant."
Sam disagreed.
"Editor Elephant."
Mei Lin suggested:
"Chief Editor Elephant."
Baby Pumpkin solved the argument.
Thump.
Everyone laughed.
Alankrita picked up the toy and rested it gently against her stomach.
The tiny movement came again.
Another thump.
Another approval.
"Looks like Baby Pumpkin likes elephants."
Outside the window, Cambridge carried on as always.
Students hurried to lectures.
Bicycles crossed ancient streets.
