One afternoon, Alankrita walked slowly across the Cambridge courtyard carrying him.
Students waved.
Professors smiled.
A gardener greeted him.
The security guard saluted dramatically.
Raghuveer responded by waving his stuffed elephant.
An acceptable diplomatic response.
Oliver looked around and laughed.
"I don't think he understands he's famous."
Chloe shook her head.
"He thinks this is normal."
Porter nodded.
"Honestly, at this point he might actually own Cambridge."
Alankrita laughed softly.
Raghuveer looked up at her immediately.
His favourite sound in the world.
Her laughter.
He smiled back instantly.
Then kissed her cheek again.
Because apparently happiness required immediate acknowledgement.
She kissed his forehead.
"My little prince."
He buried himself in her shoulder contentedly.
Outside, bells echoed across Cambridge.
Inside his tiny world there was only one kingdom.
One queen.
One safe place.
His mother.
And for Prince Raghuveer...
that was more than enough.
